Meet the Trainer: Jennah Turner
Jennah’s lifelong passion for dogs began in high school, where she worked as a kennel technician assistant at two animal hospitals in Tulsa. During this time, she also volunteered with local dog rescue organizations, helping dogs find their forever homes.
Her natural aptitude for training was quickly recognized by a professional dog trainer, who invited her to shadow and explore the field as a career. By the end of this experience, Jennah knew dog training was her calling and pursued formal certification through Animal Behavioral College. She later served as a lead trainer and managed the daycare program for three years.
In 2016, Jennah became desperate looking for answers to help her Boxer who at the time developed some aggression. In January of 2017, she attended Tom Rose Dog Training School in St. Louis, Missouri, where she acquired knowledge in behavioral modification, basic and advanced obedience, agility, scent detection, and how to properly use different training tools.
Furthering her interest in service dogs, in 2018 she attended Highland Canine Dog Training School in North Carolina, certified on how to train PTSD, handicap, seizure alert, and autism assistant service dogs.
